Privacy policy

We, the operators of this website, treat the personal data that we process about you confidentially and in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations.

In the following, we provide information about data processing in connection with the use of our website.

1. general information

Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail address.

Responsible for the processing of personal data is the:

2. your rights

You have the following rights vis-à-vis us with regard to the personal data concerning you under the respective legal requirements:

  • Right to information;
  • Right to rectification or erasure;
  • Right to restriction of processing;
  • Right to object to the processing;
  • Right to data portability.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

3. data processing when visiting the website and contacting us

If you use our website for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. This is done in order to display the platform to you and to ensure the necessary stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) and concerns the following data:

  • IP address;
  • Date and time of the server request;
  • Referrer URL;
  • Access status/HTTP status code;
  • the amount of data transferred in each case;
  • Website from which the request comes;
  • Browser;
  • Operating system;
  • Language and version of the browser software.

When you contact us by e-mail or via our contact form, the data you provide (your e-mail address and your first and last name, and any other voluntary information) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. We delete the data arising in this context after storage is no longer required, or restrict processing if there are statutory retention obligations.

4. processing of business contacts

We collect personal data about our (potential) business partners and their contact persons (usually names, contact details, invoice and payment data) in order to provide our contractual services, in particular brokerage services, to identify business partners and to be able to correspond with them, as well as for invoicing purposes. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Failure to provide certain data may mean that a contract cannot be concluded or executed.

We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if and insofar as we have legal permission to do so within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR exists. This includes, in particular, disclosure to payment service providers and to public bodies and institutions if there is a legal or official obligation to disclose data.

Insofar as we use external service providers to process personal data relating to business partners, these service providers have been carefully selected, commissioned in writing and are bound by our instructions. The service providers will not pass this data on to third parties.

We store your personal data for as long as required by statutory retention and documentation obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR) (usually ten years), unless you have consented to storage beyond this period or there are legitimate interests that require storage beyond this period.

5. processing of applicant data

If you apply to us by e-mail or post, we will store your details for the purpose of and for the duration of the application process. This concerns the personal data that you provide in your application documents, usually your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and possibly also sensitive data such as religious affiliation or severely disabled status. If you apply to us via portals operated by third parties, we will receive your data from the source to which you have given your consent to the transfer of data. Further information on data collection can be obtained from the relevant source.

The provision of your personal data is necessary in order to carry out the application process. The legal basis for the aforementioned data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR in conjunction with. § 26 BDSG.

As part of the application process, we will also check whether we can offer you another vacancy that matches your application. If we are interested in keeping your application documents for a later date, we will ask you for your separate consent in this respect. Otherwise, we store your application data for a period of six months after the conclusion of an unsuccessful application process, provided that this does not conflict with statutory retention obligations. The legal basis for the aforementioned data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c and lit. f GDPR.

Your data will only be processed by us and will not be passed on to third parties. Exceptions relate to cases in which the legislator requires or provides for the disclosure of data (for example, in the context of tax audits by the tax authorities). In certain cases, it is necessary to pass on your data to third parties in order to protect your or our interests or to fulfill our contractual obligations. This occurs in particular when we use external service providers. In these cases, the service provider is bound by instructions and only receives personal data to the extent and for the period required to provide the services in question. No international transmission takes place and is not planned.

6. cookies

We use cookies on our platform. Cookies are small text files that are assigned to the browser you are using and stored on your hard disk by means of a characteristic string of characters and through which certain information flows to the site that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot run programs or transfer viruses to your computer and therefore cannot cause any damage. They serve to make the website more user-friendly and effective overall, i.e. more pleasant for you.

Cookies may contain data that make it possible to recognize the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information on certain settings that are not personally identifiable. However, cookies cannot directly identify a user.

A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session. We set cookies that are absolutely necessary to move around the platform, use basic functions and ensure the security of the platform; this is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). These cookies do not collect information about you for marketing purposes, nor do they store which websites you have visited.

7. data security

We protect personal data by means of suitable technical and organizational measures in order to ensure an appropriate level of protection and to safeguard the personal rights of the persons concerned. The measures taken serve, among other things, to prevent unauthorized access to the technical facilities used by us and to protect personal data from unauthorized access by third parties.

In particular, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the contact requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is therefore not possible.

8. updating the data protection information

As these data protection notices may change from time to time as a result of legal changes or new functions within the scope of our offer, we recommend that you consult them regularly.
